Bobbing Church is part of a group of churches that take a team of Street Pastors out into Sittingbourne community on a Friday night between 10pm and 2am.

Street Pastors come from a range of churches and denominations in Sittingbourne they engage with people on the streets to care, listen and dialogue with them. Street pastor teams are supported by prayer pastors who pray into the situations that occur on the street and keep the kettle on for when the street pastors return from helping those they meet.

To be a Street Pastor or prayer pastor you need to be over 18 (no upper age limit), a church member and able to commit to our training programme.

Each Street Pastor team consists of at least three groups of four, each of which will work a minimum of one night a month, usually from 10pm to around 4am. Prayer pastors support the street pastors whilst they are out in groups of 3-4.
